Not so impressed? These are, after all, big cold countries where sometimes, people eat reindeer. (By the way, I can say stuff like this because I come from South Korea where some people eat dogs. I now live in the U.S. where people love dogs but are as big as cows.)
Anyway, to put these figures another way: There are more Pet Society players than there are people in jam-packed Tokyo (12 million) or my birthplace, Seoul (10.3 million). In the gaming arena, more people play Pet Society than World of Warcraft (11.5 million). And according to Playfish, a half-million people install Pet Society, Crazy Planets, Restaurant City or any of the company’s other games each day. That’s like adding a city like Seattle to the map every single day. Whoa, thank goodness this is all virtual, otherwise we’d have some serious overpopulation issues.
